Most platforms are built for one side of coaching: a tool for the coach, a course site, or a community. Coachtrax puts the whole relationship in one app — clients track their training, food, habits and smartwatch data, find a coach in the marketplace, book and message them, and coaches run their programmes and business from the same place.

  • Train and eat in one app

Clients log workouts, meals, macros and water in the same place, and can scan a barcode or a nutrition label to fill in a meal.

  • Connect a smartwatch

Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android bring in steps, sleep, heart rate and active calories — so watches that sync to them feed the same record.

  • A coach marketplace built in

Clients browse and filter verified coaches, read reviews, save favourites and book — then keep training with that coach in the same app.

  • Programmes and nutrition plans

Coaches build workout programmes and nutrition plans and assign them to one client or many, from a library of 2,700+ illustrated exercises.

  • Progress you can see

Weight, body measurements and body fat, side-by-side progress photos, daily habits, personal records and a daily Coachtrax Score.

  • Booking and chat

Clients book 1:1 sessions from each coach’s live availability, under the coach’s own cancellation rules, and message their coach in encrypted chat with photos and video.

  • Free for clients to track

Anyone can start tracking on their own and add a coach when they want guidance.

  • No coach subscription

Coaches pay 6% commission on coaching payments, capped every month, instead of a monthly plan — with earnings, payouts and a web workspace included.

Pricing
$0 subscription · 6% commission, capped at $100/month. Coaching packages and payment processing are separate.
Available on
iPhone and Android apps, plus a web workspace for coaches.
Good to know
Built for fitness coaching. If your business is mainly selling courses or running a paid community, a course or community platform may fit better.
02

Key features
Workout programming, a client dashboard and messaging.
Pricing

Consider
The pricing page offers monthly and annual selections; this advertised rate is not a verified month-to-month quote.

TrueCoach centres on delivering training. Coachtrax pairs the training record with nutrition, smartwatch data and a built-in coach marketplace that brings new clients to you.

05

Best for programming-heavy coaching workflows

Key features
Program building, nutrition coaching, assessments and automated workflows.
Pricing
$19.90/month · Basic · Monthly. 3 clients.

Consider
Contact and product limits measure a different business model from active training clients.
How Coachtrax compares

Kajabi sells courses and digital products. Coachtrax runs the day-to-day coaching itself — logged workouts, meals, check-ins and progress.

09

Circle

Best for community and course creators

Circle homepage
circle.so homepage · captured 28 September 2026
Key features
Community spaces, courses, events and membership payments.
Pricing
$89/month equivalent · Professional · Annual billing; excludes applicable taxes. Unlimited members; other usage limits apply.
Consider
A member seat is not equivalent to a fitness coaching client with workout logs.
How Coachtrax compares

Circle builds communities and courses. Coachtrax tracks the training itself, with a client app for workouts, nutrition and wearable data.

How we ranked them

We started from each platform’s own homepage and pricing page, then asked one question: how much of a real coaching week happens in one place? Training, food, daily habits, wearable data, finding a coach, booking, messaging and getting paid all count. A platform built for one of those jobs can still be the right tool — so every entry says who it suits best.

Put it into practiceList the jobs your coaching needs every week before you compare features. The platform that covers the most of them in one app usually saves the most time.

What all-in-one should mean in fitness

For a fitness client, all-in-one means the workout, the meal, the step count and the conversation with the coach live in the same record. For a coach, it means programmes, progress, bookings and payments without stitching several subscriptions together. Course and community platforms are all-in-one for a different business: selling knowledge to an audience.

Put it into practiceAsk whether your clients would need a second app to log food or sync their watch. If yes, the platform is not all-in-one for your clients.

Price the whole setup, not the first plan

Most coaching software charges a monthly plan that rises with your roster, and nutrition, payments or automation can be add-ons. Coachtrax charges no coach subscription: a 6% commission on coaching payments, capped every month. Compare the total at your real client count — our pricing comparison does the arithmetic.

Put it into practiceWork out your monthly cost at your current roster and at double it. The cheapest starting plan is not always the cheapest at scale.
Sources & methodology

A published perspective. A checkable comparison.

This article is published by Coachtrax, one of the platforms compared. We reviewed official vendor product, pricing and help pages on 25 September 2026; source links appear with each platform above. Selection reflects relevant fitness tools plus adjacent practice, community and course products, not a market-share ranking.

This is desk research, not a hands-on test or an independent customer review. Our recommendations reflect workflow fit. Availability, taxes, promotions, billing commitments and plan names can change; confirm the live offer before purchasing. Where a billing basis could not be verified, we say so rather than treating it as a monthly quote.

Coachtrax capabilities were checked against current application and service code. Product images use illustrative prototype data, not customer outcomes.
