Describe your real starting point
Write down the time, equipment and experience you have today. Add what you want help with: a plan, consistent sessions, feedback or confidence using the gym. A coach can have a more useful first conversation with that context.
Ask about relevant experience
Look for qualifications and experience connected to the support you want, then ask the coach to explain how they would approach your situation. A strong profile is a starting point for questions, not a guarantee of a particular result.
Find out what feedback looks like
Ask how often the coach reviews your records, when the programme is updated and how questions are handled. Find out whether live appointments are included or purchased separately.
Read the complete package
Check duration, sessions or credits, renewals and the cancellation or rescheduling policy. Understand the currency and total at checkout. Similar headline prices may buy different amounts of coaching time.
Review the fit after getting started
At the agreed check-in, discuss what you understood, what felt workable and what needs changing. Useful coaching includes a conversation about the plan, not only delivery of a document.
